High Volume Bulk Email

Flexible and powerful business class electronic marketing

Infotronics's High Volume bulk outbound email sending service is designed to provide a reliable, fast, and cost-effective solution ideal to broadcast your message.

Use it to send your customer newsletters, product news and announcements, or for online transactions like order reciepts, registration confirmations, account updates, lab test results, and more.*

We offer monthly subscription accounts for consistent sending, and pay-as-you-go plans for convenient on-demand sending or if your volume needs may vary or spike throughout the year.

High Volume Highlights:

  • Easily integrates with any system that supports authenticated SMTP; optional SSL and TLS with alternate ports
  • Premium High Volume: Add high sending limits to any Infotronics account, e.g. HIPAA, Reseller, standard email hosting, standard email plus web hosting, SecureForm
  • Securely send HIPAA compliant healthcare information, sensitive legal documents, and private financial statements via SecureLine End-to-End-Encryption
  • Smarthosting: Avoid cloud or local blacklisting issues with Anonymous SMTP (IP masking) and alternate ports. Or, smarthost to take advantage of other outbound features
  • Supports HTML and plain text message formats for sending both graphical marketing materials as well as simple transactional emails
  • Specially configured and designed servers, coupled with our strict anti-spam Acceptable Use Policy, ensure high deliverability and performance.
  • Added reporting, bounce analysis (includes VERP), and expert technical support makes High Volume the perfect choice for your bulk business-class email marketing needs.

*Important service note:

Infotronics's High Volume service is SMTP only, meaning you are responsible to provide the sending mechanism for your bulk mailings. This can be via a database, web application, software or other source. We do not offer bulk mailing management services or software to do things like compose messages, import and segment lists, schedule campaigns, review reporting and statistics, etc.

These features are easily available through use of a separate bulk email marketing program installed locally on your computer or on a web hosting server (which could be at Infotronics in a separate account) and connected to your Infotronics High Volume SMTP server.

Almost any software that supports SMTP authentication will work, including email clients like Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird--though email programs like these are not good choices for bulk mail!. How sending limits work:

  • High Volume accounts utilize shared an account-wide monthly recipient limit
  • Users can, combined, send up the account's maximum monthly limit
  • Administrators may impose per-user limits below the account limit, providing great flexibility for Resellers and clients with users that require varying sending levels
  • Account-wide 100 GB/month bandwidth limit (higher for dedicated servers)
  • User and account-wide limits are hard, meaning services are suspended once hit. Configurable two-level alerts (e.g. send notices at 75% and 90% of limit) help you plan accordingly, easy upgrades through automatic account wizard.
  • Pay-As-You-Go type accounts are limited to sending 200,000 per month

Types of High Volume Service

  • Basic - Outbound sending only (SMTP), perfect for most bulk mail needs like sending newsletters. Includes 100 users to permit distribution of different sending limits if required.
  • Premium - Add bulk email sending to any account with any services including HIPAA and Resellers! Enables special outbound processing features for bulk email including email encryption, Premium Email Archival, Anonymous SMTP service, Sender Restrictions, Content Monitoring, and more. Also does not require pre-approval of From addresses.

Basic and Premium Feature Matrix

Feature Basic Premium

Authentication
SMTP Services authenticated with a username and password.

SSL and TLS Security
Use of your choice of insecure SMTP, SMTP over TLS, and SMTP over SSL. Optionally, lock down your account to enforce the use of SSL or TLS.

Alternate SMTP Ports
Alternate ports for SMTP access, including use of port 80. This helps ensure that you can send even if there are firewalls or ISP policies blocking you.

Anonymous SMTP - Hide Your IP
Hide the IP address of the computers or servers that you are sending from. This helps prevent messages from being blocked because you are sending from an ISP or location that is already blocked.

100 MB Message Size Limit
Messages can be up to 100 MB in encoded size (including all attachments).

1000 Recipient per Message Limit
Sent to as few as 1 and as many as 1000 recipients per message.

VERP - Variable Envelope Return Path
[Optional] Automatic Return Path customization so bounce messages directly indicate the addresses that failed.

Use Your Own From Addresses
All sent messages must by sent from an email address in a domain that you own.

  • Basic Service users can send using multiple "From addresses", as long as they are approved by Infotronics support and are not addresses at "Free email services". We can approve the use of any address in a domain, as well.
  • Premium Service users can send from any email address, though based on our acceptable use policy, it must be one owned or managed by the user. From addresses from "Free email services" are prohibited.

Dedicated Servers
Available for extremely high volume delivery to isolate your sending from everyone else's.

Email Capturing
Direct copies of all sent messages to another email address of your choice.

Outbound Email Encryption
Send bulk encrypted email to anyone with an email address using SecureLine.

Recipient Restrictions
Use allow and deny lists to control to whom or to what domains messages can be sent. Send copies of all outbound email messages to an email address of your choice.

Taglines/Disclaimers
Automatically add taglines or disclaimers to all outbound email messages. This can in plain text or HTML in format.

Email Content Monitoring
Scan all outbound email for specific content (keywords, phrases, or regular expressions). Matching messages can be denied, sent to an auditor, or auto-encrypted using SecureLine.

Receive Inbound Email
Get a full-functional email hosting account with 5 GB+ of space, SecureLine, IMAP, POP, and WebMail access to your inbound email. This is very useful if you need to process replies and bounces, or need to managed secure replies to encrypted outbound email messages.

WebMail
WebMail access for sending and receiving email messages. Includes an integrated calendar and address book.

Upgrade/Add Related Services
Depending on what you need, this kind of account can be upgraded to add such things as inbound email spam and virus filtering, inbound and outbound email archival, domain registration and DNS services, more disk space, private labeling, web hosting, WebAides collaboration tools, and more.

Zero tolerance policy for sending of Spam and Unsolicited Commercial Email

The High Volume Acceptable Use Policy is very explicit about what you can and cannot do with the High Volume service. Highlights include:

From Addresses

  • Basic High Volume: A user can only send using approved "From" addresses. These must be valid email addresses, approved by Infotronics Support. Sending "From" any address in a domain also requires pre-approval and validation that you have control over the domain in question.
    • Each user can have up to 5 approved "From" addresses or domains.
  • Premium High Volume: A user can send from any "From" addresses without the need for prior approval (except for those addresses excluded by the next item). Note that our Acceptable Use Policy still applies; sending messages from addresses that are not owned or managed by you is an AUP violation and subjects your account to possible termination without notice.
  • A "From" address cannot be that of any email service provider (free or not). I.e. no sending bulk messages from "AOL", "Gmail", "Hotmail", "Yahoo!", your college email address, etc. In general, you should only send from a valid address in a domain that you own.

Abuse Tracking

  • Headers are added to each message sent so that it can be traced back to the sender should there be any abuse complaints. Headers also include information to notify recipients to contact Infotronics to report abuse.

Message Content

  • Infotronics Support reserves the right to inspect any message sent through the High Volume messaging service to ensure that every message meets our terms of service.
  • All messages must indicate in the body of the email why the recipient is getting the message and provide a viable means by which the recipient can opt out of future mailings.

Other Restrictions

  • The sender must promptly comply with any and all opt-out requests.
  • Spam, Unsolicited Commercial Email, email sent to purchased email lists, any bulk mailing to anyone not explicitly expecting your messages are not permitted.
  • The terms of service are strict; abuse will not be tolerated. Service may be suspended without notice if any complaints are received and until the issue can be resolved.

Infotronics offers a range of features to help ensure your emails reach your target audience, including:
